2010 Topps T-206 online exclusive at SportsAuthority.com.

You may have been just like me.  Did not know that sports cards could be bought from sportsauthority.com.  I went to the site to check out if they had any new cards that they are taking preorders on.  I knew they are offering 2010 Topps T-206 retail blaster boxes ($20) and the retail boxes ($71.99).  In July, they had pre-orders for the retail boxes at a price $55.99.  I had a retail box ready to come my way only to have money deficiency problems coming into this month. So, I had to cancel my order.  It's a big disappointment.  I could have really left the order to go through and take the bank penalty. It would have been about same price because once they saw the product was in high demand and marked the retail boxes $15 to $20.  Now to get into what has inspired me to write this blog.  At sportsauthority.com, they are offer Topps 2010 T206 Value Pack (18 packs) for $107.99.  After reading the what comes with the Value Pack, I don't really think this is a good buy.  Here are the particulars about the Topps 2010 T206 Value Pack and it is word for word what t:he retail box is said to have in it.  You only get 24 more cards with the Value Pack over the retail box yet the price difference is $36 for 24 cards.  24 cards are not worth the outrageous amount of $36, only if you pulled extra autograph or relic cards.
  • 18 Packs per Box, 12 Cards per Pack.
  • Each T206 24-Count Box contains a combination of any One of the following premium cards - AN Autographed Card, or a Relic Card.
  • Showcasing Topps classic photography, Topps T-206 offers a unique perspective of 300 current, future, and legendary MLB players.

Here is the link to see what I am talking about.   http://www.sportsauthority.com/

Don't be sway by the claim of "Value Pack"  There is no real value there.

Until next time, keep gambling hard earned money away and paying more for anyone should for a piece of cardboard.

  1. Huh, I didn't know Rack packs came with one autorelic per box. You'd be better off buying a hubby box from Bowout or something. If you're looking for Retail Topps206 the only place I've seen it so far is Target. The Target in Cartersville is where I got my blaster.

  2. Well they are advertising it as such. Okay you are in the Cartersville area. I think my home town played them last night and lost 28 to 28. I live in LaFayette and I'm sure you've probably heard of it. I'll have to look at Target next time I'm in the Nooga. They always have a better selection than Wal-Mart anyway. Yea I bought my hobby box last year from Blowout Cards and I was pleased with it.
